MS-01 is the first mini workstation developed by MINISFORUM to be equipped with a 10Gb Ethernet port. It was originally designed to meet the needs of users who require high computing power and rapid interoperability of data across multiple devices, such as: B. There are three CPU versions of the MS-01, Core i9-13900H, Core i9-12900H and Core i5-12450H.

The MS-01 has a compact appearance and a metal body. The dimensions of the case are 196 mm, 189 mm and 48 mm respectively, and the pure metal weight is 1.42 kg and the volume is only 1.78 L, which is about 1/25 the volume of a typical desktop and about 1/2 equivalent to a similar mini workstation.

The MS-01-S1390 has 14 cores and 20 threads, and the RWI is up to 5.4 GHz, which is a very impressive value. The BIOS shows PL1 at 60W and PL2 at 80W, which is consistent with the BIOS default PL1/PL2 at 60W/80W.

These data show that the performance of the i9-13900H is completely at standard levels. Whether it is large-scale data processing or complex computing tasks, it can easily handle it and provide users with efficient and stable computing services .

The 96EU Torch Core graphics are suitable for playing some mainstream online games and 3A games. MS-01 can easily perform video encoding and decoding, and also supports hardware decoding of HEVC, VP9 and AV1 8K.

Heat dissipation

In terms of heat dissipation, the MS-01 not only uses metal material for its body to improve heat dissipation, but also uses a large-area heat dissipation module inside to cover the CPU part and memory part, fully ensuring the heat dissipation performance of these two large heat generators becomes.

After removing the CPU cooling module, the entire cooling module is wrapped in acoustic cotton, and the cooling fins and copper pipes are neatly arranged in a compact layout. In addition, the heat-conducting material of the CPU is made of silicone grease.

Prime95 and Aida64 stress tests

After 60 minutes of continuous operation, the maximum CPU temperature is only 83℃, and the heat is distributed evenly without local overheating.

Low noise

The test results show that the maximum noise of the MS-01 under full load is no more than 43 dB, and in practice the machine is rarely under full load and at full fan speed, so the machine is basically in a “silent” state is running, and this noise is basically covered by the ambient noise, so the user doesn't have to worry about the noise problem but can concentrate on their own work.

The MS-01 supports Raid0 and Raid1 features, allowing users to strip or mirror data storage configurations as needed to achieve higher data performance or redundant backups.

The MS-01 is equipped with a PCIEx16 half-height discrete graphics card slot, which currently supports up to RTX A2000 graphics cards, meeting the needs of professional designers.

In addition, the slot can also be expanded with network cards, USB cards and serial cards, increasing the usability and flexibility of the entire device.

Rich interfaces

The MS-01 features two 10GbE ports, an unprecedented and innovative application of MINISFORUM in mini workstation design. The two SFP+ 10GbE interfaces are equipped with the Intel X710 chip and also have independent heat sinks.

The two 2.5G network ports are connected to the i226, with the left one supporting INTEL vPro technology.

The 10 Gigabit Ethernet connection is four times as fast as a 2.5G connection, meaning four times the amount of data can be transferred in the same time. This makes it ideal for connecting to high-speed LANs, network storage devices and servers, e.g. B. for use as an ALL IN ONE.

Despite its small size, the MS-01 mini workstation offers powerful performance that is in no way inferior to that of a standard desktop. The powerful memory, excellent heat dissipation, numerous interfaces and good compatibility can meet the needs of users in a variety of heavy-duty tasks and enable efficient and convenient work.
