MS-01 vs MS-A1
Minisforum launched the first mini workstation with Intel CPU - MS-01 - earlier this year and will launch the AMD version of the mini workstation - MS-A1 - next month. The two are similar in appearance, but there are significant differences in core configuration and performance.

CPU differences
MS-01: Offers the choice between Intel i9-13900H and i5-12600H processors, both equipped with vPro® Enterprise technology that provides advanced security and manageability features for enterprise applications, with a TDP power consumption of 45W designed for long and stable operation.
MS-A1: Featuring AMD Socket AM5 Ryzen™ 8000/7000G series processors, it offers powerful multi-core processing capability for high-performance computing needs, with a TDP power consumption of 65W and a replaceable CPU for continuous upgrades.

Differences in storage
MS-01: Supports DDR5 5200MHz (13th Gen processors) or DDR5 4800MHz (12th Gen processors), up to 64GB to meet the needs of most enterprise applications.
MS-A1: Supports DDR5 5200MHz, up to 96GB, which offers higher capacity.

Differences in hard drive configuration
MS-01: Provides PCIE 4.0x4, PCIE 3.0x4, PCIE 3.0x2 connector, supports 2280 and 22110 hard disk and adapts to different speed and capacity requirements.
MS-A1: Mainly provides one PCIe 4.0x4 and one PCIe 3.0x4 connector as well as one PCIe 4.0x1 connector to support high-speed data transfer.
The PCIE 4.0X4 of both products provide U.2 hard drive space and converter interface, which will occupy the M.2 slot and also supports the use of enterprise hard drives.

Differences in video output
MS-01: Provides 2*USB4 ports and 1 HDMI port to support high-speed data transfer and multi-display.
MS-A1: Provides 1*USB4 port, 1*DP port and 1*HDMI port, providing users with more diverse display options.

Disassembly method
The MS-01 uses a sliding release design that allows you to pull out the device's motherboard and replace accessories directly.
The MS-A1 uses a closed structure wrapped with a built-in clip that allows you to remove the motherboard and replace accessories.
